About TEKKō™ Metals
In the Japanese tradition known as wabi sabi we embrace the art of finding beauty in the imperfect. At TEKKō™ we are as inspired by that tradition as we are by the natural and imperfect surfaces of such materials as TerraCotta, Concrete, Stone, Copper, and Zinc. To this we would like to introduce TEKKō™ .
With the finishes Mokutan (Charcoal), Hai-Iro (Blue Grey), Kuro (Black), Gin'iro (Natural Silver), and AO (Grey) you will find subtle and various shades of black and grey that offer a soft matte appearance that reacts with the environment and will offer subtle changes over time. Different. Authentic. Traditional. Contemporary.

The surfaces are not a paint system. They are formed through a process that develops a covalent bond through the sharing of electron pairs between atoms - known as shared pairs or bonding pairs. These permanent chemical bonds are not removable and extend the life of the steel exponentially. TEKKō™ is highly corrosion resistant coated steel with a layer comprised of 91% Zinc, 6% Aluminum and 3% Magnesium forming a two-layer structured protective barrier on the surface of the steel with a corrosion resistance many times that of plain zinc galvanized steel. TEKKō™ is available in many sizes and thicknesses, we encourage you to contact one of our regional sales Representatives to further discuss using TEKKō™ on your next project.
